You may remember one of our new Beggars Banquet vendors from her time working door security at The Waldorf - Rhoda used to spend some days (and nights) ensuring we all got in and out of the party in one piece but now she’s on hand making sure we get to the party looking our best.
What we hadn’t realized, and were very excited to discover, is that Rhoda collects and reworks awesome vintage clothing as Shesnot2shabby! We love her reworked denim and vintage rock tees, and her collection of underpinnings and dresses is going to be a hit too.
Come down and say hi to Rhoda and check out her booth as she makes herself comfortable in Chinatown at Beggars Banquet #009 this Friday, April 19th.
DEAD UNION has an eye for vintage and second hand picking that takes a lot of hours of scouring to develop. One of our favourite collections at any Beggars Banquet, his variety and quality picks are insane (pardon the pun in this case…)
Collecting your new favourite vintage shirt, denim, retro rock tee or STRAIGHT JACKET week after week, DEAD UNION always has one of the tables with the most amount of product on hand when we open the doors at Beggars Banquet.
Hit up the DEAD UNION blog before heading down to Chinatown tomorrow night and see if there’s any amazing old vintage baseball tee on there that you can’t live without, and we’ll see you all at Beggars Banquet #009.

Ark Industries create whatever they want and allow that creatitivty to take them in whatever direction they feel like. Their products reflect their effort to try and come up with vintage ant reto inspired products, with appropriate modern updates.
Beginning back in the dark ages of 1995 Ark Industires founder, appropriately named Noah, took his first steps into the clothing business through buying and selling second-hand/vintage clothing while he was still a poverty stricken university student. The first products created under the banner of Ark Industries included clothing made from second hand fabrics and re-worked vintage pieces he’d come across.
See more of the incredible re-worked and re-imagined products from Ark Industries on their website and come down to meet Noah and see the selection in person in Chinatown April 19th when Beggars Banquet #009 returns.

Karla & Aaron of The Lost And Found Bin wowed all of us at December’s Beggars Banquet Holiday Edition so much with their incredible collection of vintage everything, that when they contacted us saying they wanted a seperate booth this month to showcase their vintage typewriter collection under the name The Workhorse, we immediately handed over a spot in our new Chinatown space for them.
It was in early 2012 when their first shop, The Lost and Found Bin, was born. Aaron and Karla quickly grew an affinity towards typewriters - the candy colours, the mechanics, the beautiful designs became hard to resist.
Together, the couple has spent countless weekends visiting antique shops, flea markets and garage sales in Vancouver, even venturing across the border into Washington State to scour for collectibles.
Ready to be re-ribboned and put to good use, displayed in a storefront window or mounted on the wall in your study, The Workhorse currently has their hands on over ONE HUNDRED typewriters and will be bringing some of the very best to Chinatown this weekend at Beggars Banquet #008. See a selection of their goods on The Workhorse Etsy Page and follow along with their adventures on Facebook.
